Orange County Extends CRA & Annexes a County Enclave
The Orange County Board of County Commissioners unanimously voted on March 8, 2022, to extend the Winter Garden Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) for 10 years. The City of Winter Garden had approved the extension one month earlier at a City Commission meeting. The 10-year extension will allow the Winter Garden CRA to leverage the redevelopment success in Downtown Winter Garden to benefit East Winter Garden. It is estimated that over $20 million will be generated during this timeframe and at least 75% of these funds will be spent in East Winter Garden to revitalize the community. The City of Winter Garden and Orange County also just completed an annexation of an enclave within the CRA allowing the annexed area to also be added to the CRA. The map shows the CRA area and the East Winter Garden area where the majority of the revenues will be spent. Click here for more information about the CRA.

Music by Alan Menken Lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice Book by Linda Woolverton Directed by Roberta Emerson
There’s been a change in me, a kind of moving on, though what I used to be I still depend upon. Trapped in her provincial life, an intelligent young woman risks everything to save her father from a terrifying Beast in an enchanted castle. Belle becomes the heroine of her own story as she discovers the power in daring to be different and breaks free from the expectations of her quiet village. Filled with dancing teapots, gorgeous costumes, and theatre magic, this international best-selling sensation will be reimagined like never before for the Garden stage. EDUCATION

Camps and classes are tailored to fit the needs of each grade or skill level and are taught by experienced local theatre professionals.

What Are Lift Stations? After you flush the toilet, wash your hands, take a bath, or rinse your dishes, do you ever wonder where all that water and its contents go? First, pipes carry wastewater from your home to bigger pipes in the middle of the street. From there, the wastewater travels to a lift station, usually in your neighborhood.
The City of Winter Garden has 105 lift stations. A lift station is a pump station that moves wastewater, or sewage, from a lower to higher elevation using a system of underground pipes and maintenance structures. Once the wastewater is lifted, more pipes then transport the wastewater from your home to its final destination: the wastewater treatment plant.
