Summer Day Camp Counselor-In-Training Program
The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program is specifically designed to develop the skills needed to be a positive leader and role model in the summer day camp. CIT’s will be given a behind the scenes glimpse at camp planning, policies and administration. Each CIT will be assigned to work with a specific group in the summer day camp, and through hands-on experience, will work side by side with the camp counselors and Camp Director. Using a first follower approach participants will have a chance to explore leadership opportunities in a camp setting, responsibilities involved in working with children and fun team building activities.
Limited space is available. In order to be eligible for this program, interested participants must complete an application and interview. Applications will be available beginning February 16 and must be returned by March 13.
