The collection of trash, yard waste, and recyclables is billed through the Winter Garden Utility Billing Department in conjunction with your municipal water bill. If you have questions regarding rates, please call the Solid Waste Supervisor at 407.656.4111, ext. 2009.

To set up an account, prospective customers must complete and sign an application and submit it along with a deposit to the Utility Billing Department (located in the lobby of City Hall at 300 West Plant Street). A valid driver’s license is also required. For a copy of the application, click here. Copies are also available at the Utility Billing Department. Please contact Utility Billing (407.656.4100) to determine the amount of your deposit. The deposit may be waived if the prospective customer can demonstrate good credit.

The City of Winter Garden provides residents with twice-a-week solid waste collection, once-a-week yard waste collection, and once-a-week recycling collection. In order to maintain a high level of service while keeping costs low, the City has established routes for solid waste, yard waste, and recycling pick-up. Special pick-ups are provided for large items for an additional charge.


Pick-up times may vary, depending on weather, traffic conditions, and the amount of material collected throughout the City.

Orange County Household Hazardous Waste and
Electronic Waste Community Collection Event!

Do you have any paint cans that have been sitting around for too long?
How about old MP3s or DVD players that you want to get rid of?

If you are hoping to clear your home of any household hazardous wastes or electronic waste, please take them to Apopka High School (555 W. Martin St., Apopka, FL) on Saturday, October 15, 2016 between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:00 pm. Orange County employees will be there to take items off your hands and dispose of them properly!

If you cannot make it to this specific collection event, Orange County has two permanent locations that collect household hazardous waste and electronic waste. Visit for directions and hours.
